For the spontaneous capture of written ideas, the Portégé X30W-J’s 5-mode convertible form means it can easily become a tablet and, when paired with Windows Ink Workspace and an optional AES stylus pen, it enables a natural pen-on-paper writing experience. When using the pen, the keyboard is automatically disabled to avoid accidental keystrokes.

The Portégé X30W-J has been vigorously tested for toughness, with its 17.9mm magnesium alloy chassis having undergone a number of MIL STD 810G tests. The device also features dynabook’s new and improved Airflow cooling system and re-designed rubber footing for further cooling and stability. We also conduct Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT) and other stress tests across the chassis, hinge, keyboard and ports of this laptop to deliver the perfect blend of rigidity and flexibility within its gravity-defying light weight design.

The new class of Windows 10 Secured-core PCs are designed with deep integration between hardware and software, and feature the most advanced Intel® CPUs available to ensure resistance to current and future cyber-threats.

Dynabook’s Portégé X30 and Tecra X40, are among the industry’s first laptops to offer this next-level hardware, software and identity protection, making Dynabook one of the first manufacturers to bring Secured-core PCs1 to market.

Secured-core PCs are intended to handle mission-critical data and protect workers in some of the most data-sensitive industries, such as healthcare providers handling medical records and other personally identifiable information (PII), high profile industries targeted for phishing and other attacks, and businesses that employ mobile workers who require access to business-critical information outside of the office.

As Secured-core PCs1, the Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 incorporate hardware-based security components like Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM) and modern CPUs along with virtualization-based security (VBS) and Windows Dynamic hypervisor code integrity (HVCI) service. These measures create a secure, hardware-isolated environment that effectively isolates memory and critical components to prevent attacks and unauthorized access to critical parts of the operating system.

Modern Security Capabilities
Relying on the advanced security capabilities built into modern CPUs, Dynabook’s Secured-core PCs1 protect the integrity of Windows and its boot process from advanced attacks at the firmware level. The Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 use dynamic root of trust measurement (DRTM) to launch the system into a trusted state by transferring control from the CPU directly to the Windows hypervisor loader via a secured and measured handoff. With the Windows hypervisor securely launched in a state measured by hardware, the VBS environment is then created in memory to isolate critical keys and processes from the regular Windows operation system that will soon be started.

Super-strength Identity verification and protection
Passwords alone often don’t sufficiently protect system data and identities. To ensure the data’s safety against theft, compromise and phishing attacks, Dynabook’s Secured-core PCs use Windows Hello2 to prevent user identity and credential-based attacks through a combination of biometric sensors and hardware-based credential storage. This includes face, fingerprint, secure FIDO2 key, or PIN authentication, while Credential Guard leverages virtualisation-based security (VBS) to block the tools used in such attacks and ensure malware running in the operating system cannot extract authentication tokens.

Unmatchable Mission-critical data protection
Whether lost, stolen, or confiscated, one of the historically weakest links in the security chain is physical access to the device itself. A Secured-core PC is a modern Windows device that comes with the highest level of hardware, software and identity protection. As Secured-core PCs, Dynabook’s Portégé X30 and Tecra X40, provide the highest level of protection against potential data loss by guarding against drive-by attacks that can lead to the disclosure of sensitive information or injection of malware. Secured-core PCs block external peripherals from starting and performing Kernel Direct Memory Access (DMA) unless the drivers for these peripherals support memory isolations. Peripherals with compatible drivers will be automatically recognized, started, and allowed to perform DMA to their assigned memory regions. By default, peripherals with incompatible drivers will be blocked from starting and performing DMA until an authorized user signs into the system or unlocks the screen.

In addition, Dynabook laptops use BitLocker Drive Encryption to help protect user data and ensure that a computer has not been tampered with while the system was offline. These additional security measures provide multifactor authentication and assurance that the PC will not start or resume from hibernation until the correct PIN or startup key is presented.

Designed for business, these three laptops include the Dynabook Portégé X30, Dynabook Tecra X40 and Dynabook Portégé A30. Portégé X30 and Tecra X40
The 13.3-inch Portégé X30 and 14-inch Tecra X40 are part of the Dynabook premium B2B laptop collection and include a variety of upgrades in processor, connectivity, instant on/off and cooling technologies. These new professional-grade laptops feature the latest 8th Generation Intel® Core™ processors to the Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 to improve performance and connectivity speeds. With a 13.3-inch display, the Portégé X30 measures 15.9 mm¹ thin and weighs 1.05kg² making it our lightest X Series laptop to date. Offering the perfect of portability and a 14-inch display, the Tecra X40 features an easily portable form factor that is just 16.9mm¹ and 1.25kg².

Both X Series laptops feature Windows 10 Modern Standby, which delivers instant on/off capabilities. This feature allows optimized software and applications on the Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 to stay up-to-date by maintaining a low-power connection to an available network (Wi-Fi, mobile broadband/cellular or wired Ethernet) in order to run background processes while the laptop is in sleep mode. The ability to remain always on and connected to the Internet, ensures a user’s email, notifications and calendar are current. Not only does this feature boost system wake and resume times, it also makes the laptop more energy efficient.

To support the new performance features of the X Series laptops, Dynabook enhanced the fan technology for improved airflow and cooling by increasing the volume of air by 10% while also lowering rotation speeds. Called an S-Type fan, this cooling design improvement delivers a quieter running system especially when running processor-intensive tasks.

The Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 laptops are Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6™ ready. The new Wi-Fi standard based on 802.11ax³. Dynabook Portégé A30
Ideal for small and medium businesses, Dynabook completely redesigned the 13.3-inch Portégé A30 to make it our thinnest and lightest A Series laptop to date. These design enhancements resulted in the Portégé A30 measuring 11 percent thinner (19.9 mm¹) with a starting weight of 1.2kg² while still being a full-featured performance laptop. Featuring a new designed Polycarbonate Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) chassis, the Portégé A30 is designed to pass the Military Durability Testing (MIL-STD-810G) standard, further demonstrating the company’s commitment to durability.

The dock supports 10 ports and an SD Card Slot to expand overall productivity and connectivity to make it the ideal complement for any laptop with a USB-C port, including the Portégé A30. The Dynabook USB- C Dock can support up to three Full High Definition Monitors or one 4K UHD Monitor. 2nd April, Singapore Dynabook Singapore Pte. Ltd. is the new name of Toshiba Client Solutions Asia Pte. Ltd. effective immediately, the company announced today. The company plans to continue offering award-winning, business-focused mobile and IoT products in Asia.

The name change aligns both business strategy and resources of Dynabook Singapore with its parent company Dynabook Inc. (formerly Toshiba Client Solutions Co., Ltd.), which officially changed its name on 1 st January, 2019.
